Matthew R. Shanklin
Paralegal & Financial Analyst

Utilizing his financial planning and analytical skills, Matt assists the Managing Attorney in analyzing and preparing advanced estate planning and wealth preservation strategies for presentation to high net worth individuals and entrepreneur clients of the firm. In addition, Matt is responsible for all entity formations, drafting entity governance documents for review by the Managing Attorney and assisting the firm’s Chief Operating Officer when advising clients of the firm in the areas of corporate finance, business succession planning, corporate restructurings and corporate growth planning.

Prior to joining Anita L. Barber, P.A., Matt was a student at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Financial Planning, with a minor in Accounting. While at William Paterson University, the Financial Planning program became ranked as a Top Three (3) program in the United States. Matt was invited as one of six (6) William Paterson University Financial Planning students and one of only thirty-three (33) students in the United States to attend the prestigious TD Institutional Conference in San Diego, California. Matt also gained valuable experience working as a summer intern at the Winter Park office of regional accounting firm Carr, Riggs, & Ingram, LLC and bank operations experience while in college working full-time as an Assistant Head Teller for Bank of America.

Matt is a Florida Registered Paralegal and has completed course work with the American Bankers Association earning the ABA Certificate in Commercial Lending/Commercial Credit Underwriting.
